Position: Site Administrator (Lead Teacher)

Description: YMCA of Greater Cleveland has an immediate need for Site Administrator (Lead Teachers)  who are  responsible for administering child care programs at designated YMCA program sites. This includes supervising child care staff, developing appropriate curriculum, and maintaining site records, programs, etc. to ensure state licensure compliance. Site Administrators may be required to travel to and from branch locations for assigned duties, trainings, or meetings, or work programs in other areas as needed.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Ensure all licensing requirements are followed and site is maintained in accordance with ODJFS day care licensing standards
  • Plan, develop, and implement appropriate lesson plans and activities following YMCA curriculum guidelines, and incorporate them into the daily schedule.
  • Supervise Staff at assigned sites in their assigned duties.
  • Complete and submit daily, weekly, and monthly reports in a timely manner.



  • Bachelor Degree Early Childhood Education or Elementary Education required.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • High School diploma or GED.
  • 15 hours in-service training per year, for a total of 45 hours over the course of 3 years {Prorated - may be less if employed less than 3 years}.
  • Must meet state licensing requirements.
  • Previous work experience in a child care center and experience in staff supervision is preferred.
  • Ability to read and write and understand written directions.
