GENERAL DESCRIPTION: Under the leadership of the Health and Wellness and Membership Directors,
the Wellness Consultants are responsible for increasing membership sales through the recruitment of
incoming prospects. The Wellness Consultant will be the first point of contact for prospective members and
maintain accurate data for sales leads. Task may include phone and in-person interaction with customers
and YMCA staff members, administrative activities that may include member and program enrollment,
payment processing, and on-boarding new members through the wellness coaching session.
Related bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in the Health and Wellness industry.
Nationally recognized personal training and/or group exercise certification preferred.
Certified in CPR, First Aid, BBP, and AED
Previous experience in sales and service preferred.
Previous demonstration of effective multi-tasking, self-sufficiency and initiative.
Proof of knowledge of customer service processes.
Excellent personal computer skills and experience with standard business software.
Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people from all social and economic segments
of the community.
